This site serves as a community-wide bulletin board/searchable database for lost and found pets. This is a free service.
If you've lost, or found, an animal : Put up posters in your neighborhood, place an ad here (when you print your listing, it looks like a poster) place an ad in the newspaper too, the Gazette runs them free for 3 days.
Check all the local shelters. Talk to shelter personnel and let them know what you've lost or found. The Billings Animal Shelter website is updated frequently. They list strays for 3-7 days. If unclaimed, many become "adoptable" so check that category too. They have a lost pet hotline as well, so call 657-8226, follow the prompts and listen. Also, ask them what DOA's they have.
You should also check with the Yellowstone County Sheriff's office at 256-2958, they administer county animal control.
