Today, June 7 at 1625 Parkhill, starting at 8am, a garage sale to benefit Greyhound Rescue!  Greyhounds on site from about 8-10am.  Go! Pet a Greyhound!

I’ve read about these studies before. I prefer the living breathing version, but I am delighted science recognizes the need to combat loneliness, that feeling connected is important.

Today’s Gazette ad for a lost cockatiel reminded me of the municipal animal shelter in Long Beach, CA.  They have a large outdoor aviary where “found” birds go.  I used to think the birds might actually enjoy their new home, what with all their new fellow birdy friends.  It was (is?) quite an aviary. Kind of like “new” Australia, or something!

I confess, I haven’t been to Shipton’s for awhile. They’ve moved their pet food to the back wall, and added a ton of pet supplies:  Kongs, chewies, toys, lots more food to choose from, beds!

I was just thinking we need a Petco, so Pet Smart has some competition.  Maybe not.
