WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE LOST OR FOUND AN ANIMAL:
1. Put up posters in your neighborhood, you can use the poster-maker from Best Friends if you click here.
2. Place an ad here, place an ad in the newspaper too, the Gazette runs them free for three days. To place your Gazette ad online click here, or call them at 657-1212.
3. Check all the local shelters. Talk to shelter personnel and let them know what you\'ve lost or found. Also, ask them what DOA s they have.
For the City of Billings, you can find the local shelter at 1735 Monad Rd, the phone number is 294-7387. They open at noon (closed Wednesdays).
4. Also check with the Yellowstone County Sheriff\'s office at 256-2958, they administer County animal control.
5. Local veterinarians are worth a call as well. Folks who find strays may take them directly to a veterinarian.
